INFORMATION ON CLIENT
Cassie Horvath is a newly college graduate and she is looking to rent/buy her first home. She is single with no pets so she is looking for anything pink and splashes of white. Her style is chic and boho. She loves to throw parties and special events so she needs plenty of seating and openness. With her new job she will need an office area to work from home. Cassie also wanted her ideal space to be simple and not busy and confusing.
In the floor plan above you can see it's an open floor plan with all hardwood flooring. Right off the bat you see pink pieces which is a huge part of Cassie's idea for her new living space. As you know she wanted a mixture of chic and boho, so that's exactly what CH designs did.
To give that chic and boho look CH designs used lots of pinks and natural colors. For finding the perfect furniture pieces CH designs put their heads together and came up with washed white wood pieces like the image down below. CH designs wanted all the major furniture pieces to match in the bedroom, but be a little more mixed in the main area ie, the living and dining space. Specifically in the living room the cocktail table is glass and gold trim but the dining table is that washed wood, similar to the bedroom pieces. That basically gives that balance of chic and boho.
Incorporating the pink at first was challenging because their are so many shades of pink but CH designs pulled through and managed to find all the same shades of pink for the sofa, bed, bench, and bar stools. Now looking at the slide show you might be like "that's not the same shade pink", I promise it is, its just the lighting they used to show off that specific piece.
All cabinetry is white with gold hardware.
Same flooring throughout space.
All walls are painted white, with hanging decor to not overwhelm with all the white.
I hope you all liked how I put my space together. While doing this project I believe I’ve learned a lot. I Learned how to mix two completely different designs (chic and boho) into one space/ floor plan. It took me a while to find a balance between the two and not completely going towards boho like I tend to do. I’m proud of the outcome of my project the colors (blush) turned out good and they are not to clashy with the whites and golds. I stepped out of my comfort zone a little doing the chic look. I learned how to hand color render instead of just using auto cad which is what I'm used to using. It definitely challenged me hand rendering but it also taught me other ways to render. This has been a challenging but fun project.
